Suzette Scott joined the US Marine Corps in 2013 and spent the majority of her military career as a dog handler. As well as completing two deployments in Kuwait and four years in Okinawa, Japan, Suzette was promoted to staff sergeant.

Suzette is an experienced and capable handler, trainer and leader, with a deep love and respect for the K-9 community. Suzette was paired with Marine Corps legend, MWD Denny, who served alongside Keaton Coffey before he was KIA in Afghanistan on 24 May, 2012. Following their service together, Denny has since retired to live with Suzette and her family.

Suzette has volunteered for US War Dogs since she attended our K-9 Veterans Day event in March 2023 and saw how special the work of our organization is in support of retired MWDs and the K-9 community as a whole.
