WHO IT'S FOR

Project Thunderstorm is designed to assist retired MWDs who suffer from PSTD or anxiety, by providing free or reduced cost aids that are designed to reduce canine stress.

ELIGIBILITY

The important first step is verify your canine’s eligibility for the Program.

This program is for you if:

- Your Retired Military Working Dog served time in the Operational Forces and been assigned to a permanent duty station.

- Your veterinarian believes your retired MWD would benefit from anxiety-management

treatments (such as those listed above)

HOW TO JOIN

 Complete the program application and send it to us, along with a copy of your retired MWD’s adoption paperwork, including a copy of the notarized covenant not to sue.

 Send your documents to us via post or email, using the details below.

 Once we receive your documents and application, you will be entered into our database.

PROGRAM CARE

    If your veterinarian (vet) feels your retired MWD would benefit from the anxiety vest, calming oils or calming chews, ask them to write up a prescription and send it to US War Dogs Association. We will mail you the requested items at no cost to the handler.
