Ray Myers was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He joined the Marine Corps in 2004 and served as a Specialized Search Dog handler. He and SSD Eros completed two combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, attached to 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force. He then went on to serve as a Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Drill Master with 2nd Recruit Training Battalion at MCRD Parris Island. After leaving the Marine Corps, Ray moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he currently works as a General Contractor and is the owner of Oasis Detroit, a company focused on community beautification while offering employment to veterans and individuals in need of a jump-start or second-chance opportunities in re-entering the workforce. Ray has two children, Mason and Rosalie Myers.
